The Saudi Competitiveness & Business Center's (SCBC) unified electronic Public Consultation Platform, Istitlaa, has put forward 41 projects related to economic and development affairs, in cooperation with 22 government entities. The platform enables stakeholders to share their feedback and proposals on the projects before their approval.
Projects presented on the platform include the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing's project “Paid Parking Regulations." The project aims to improve the paid parking system and regulate investment in it. Public feedback on the project is open until November 12, 2026.
The General Entertainment Authority has also put forward the project “Draft Regulation of Fees for Entertainment Activities and Related Supporting Activities." The project aims to determine the fees for issuing, renewing, amending, suspending, and cancelling licenses, permits, and accreditation certificates for entertainment activities and their supporting activities, as well as the fees applicable to the sale of tickets for entertainment activities. Public feedback on the project is open until November 14, 2026.
The platform also features the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture's project “Updating the Infection Control Manual in Veterinary Facilities." The project aims to establish provisions and guidelines on animal health requirements, standards, and controls, including the use of veterinary products, the reporting of animal diseases, and procedures for handling them. Public feedback on the project is open until November 14, 2026.
The introduction of draft laws, regulations, and similar projects through the Istitlaa platform reflects the Kingdom's continued commitment to enhancing transparency in the legislative environment, promoting a culture of public consultation among the general public, government entities, and the private sector, and engaging them in shaping projects related to the business environment.
