25 Projects Opened for Feedback through the Public Consultation Platform, Istitlaa
The Saudi Competitiveness & Business Center’s Public Consultation Platform, Istitlaa, has put forward 25 projects related to economic and development affairs. In cooperation with 19 government agencies, SCBC invites the general public, government agencies, and the private sector to share their feedback on projects before their approval.
Key projects presented on the platform include the project titled “Implementing Regulation of the Law on the Management of Seized and Confiscated Funds in Money Laundering Crimes, Related Predicate Offences, and Terrorist Financing Crimes,” launched by the General Commission for the Guardianship of Trust Funds for Minors and Their Counterparts. The project aims to regulate the Commission’s work by defining the procedures for receiving, safeguarding, and managing funds subject to the Law, while enhancing transparency and efficiency through documenting and preserving all procedures related to the management of seized and confiscated funds. Public feedback on the project is open until August 27, 2026.
The Ministry of Environment, Water & Agriculture has also launched the project “Updated Executive Regulation for Protecting Water Environments from Pollution.” The project aims to align the Regulation with Cabinet Resolution No. (406) approving the Regulation of the General Organization for the Conservation of Coral Reefs and Sea Turtles in the Red Sea. Public feedback on the project is open until August 28, 2026.
The Communications, Space and Technology Commission has put forward the project “Updated to Retail Telecom Service Tariff Regulations.” The project aims to enhance access to advanced telecommunications services, strengthen the competitiveness of the telecommunications sector and its service providers, while promoting clarity and transparency in procedures and ensuring the principles of equality and non-discrimination. Public feedback on the project is open until August 28, 2026.
The Transport General Authority has also launched the project “Requirements for Running Parcel Stations.” The project aims to regulate the sector, create an attractive investment environment, improve the quality of last-mile services, enhance competition, improve customer experience, and safeguard beneficiaries’ rights. Public feedback on the project is open until September 1, 2026.
The introduction of draft regulations, publics, and similar projects through the Istitlaa platform serves as an affirmation of enhanced transparency in the legislative environment. In addition, Istitlaa fosters a culture of public participation by enabling citizens, government agencies, and the private sector to contribute their insights and feedback on proposed regulations related to the business environment.
